Service Description

The Bhagavad Gita is one of the most popular sacred texts utilized today. The language dates back to an ancient time over five-thousand years ago, but the wisdom is even more ancient than that. The first 'enlightened' humans walked this earth over eleven-thousand years ago, which is eight-thousand years before written language began. The story of the Gita begins in a mysterious way, with a blind king asking one of his advisors - who has the power of clairvoyance - to tell him about a great battle that is about to begin in a distant place. The rest of the story focuses on a conversation between Arjuna (one of the warriors about to go into battle) and Krishna (a being of Divine nature disguised as Arjuna's chariot driver). The conversation, told over the course of eighteen chapters, touches on every major topic of the spiritual life, including: Self-Realization, Selfless Service, Dharma, Karma, Renunciation, Meditation, Divine Splendor (Nirvana), Universal & Unconditional Love, The Higher Self, and more. Even though the topics are deep, the way in which the conversation unfolds is not. In fact, it is presented in a simple, easily digested way that enables every reader to understand what they are ready to understand, while prompting evolutionary change in our ability to understand even more at a later time. Learning to interpret the Gita is like taking a Master Class in Spirituality. Though this course will be a more casual discussion of the principles described, it is our intention that every participant will exit the course having "leveled up" in both knowledge and wisdom to a degree that will impact the rest of this life and into the next. The ripple effect of this twelve-week program is immeasurable, though certainly significant and broad. All classes will be held live through video conferencing. A recording will be made of each session. These recordings will be available for a short time after each class for those that miss a call.
